Description
This luxury pine lodge is carved into woodland setting on the edge of Duck Lake, which is used only for fishing. Set in a country park offering golf, water and jet skiing and country walks the Lodge is well appointed with central heating TV. DVD etc. and good kitchen facilities including a washing machine and dishwasher.
The park facilities available include:
* Clubhouse with bar and restaurant.
* Lakeside diner with cycle hire, jet ski and water ski hire.
* Four fishing lakes. The fishing peg outside the lodge is exclusively available to
lodge guests as is the "yellow ticket" which permits free fishing to one person on
any of the park lakes
* 9 Hole golf course.
* Heated indoor pool
* Pop-in pampering and relaxation treatments.
* Weekend cabaret.
* Children's outdoor adventure area.
* Convenience store and Launderette
* Pool and Snooker tables.

( Note; The facilities offered by the park owners may vary from time to time and/or the season. If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask when booking). Some of the facilities mentioned carry a charge for which it will be necessary to purchase a pass from reception (family weekly pass for up to five persons or day passes are both available). Outdoor facilities carry their own charge (eg 18holes of golf approx £7.50)
Duck Lake is removed from the activities above and so offers peace and quiet away from noise and bustle.
Good eating is also available in the nearby villages (Woodhall Spa and Coningsby for instance) and there are many other pubs in the area.
Lapwing Lodge sleeps up to five persons.

Whichever of our Lincolnshire cottage holidays you choose, you can be sure of a very pleasant surprise when you arrive in this peaceful, almost timeless place. It may be one of the largest of Britain’s counties, but it remains one of the least well-known. Here you’ll find wide-open spaces, far horizons and room to breathe, not to mention some excellent locally-sourced food.
Perhaps most striking are the Lincolnshire Wolds, where most of our Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located. Unlike the rest of the county, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts rolling hills, deep valleys and is ideal touring country. In complete contrast, there’s Lincolnshire’s Fun Coast, miles of sandy beaches stretching from Skegness to Mablethorpe which attracts families in search of its many seaside attractions and shows.
Not be missed is historic Lincoln, complete with its famous cathedral and medieval buildings as well as a Norman Castle where you can see one the few original copies of Magna Carta. To the south lies Stamford, a perfectly preserved Georgian Town, which featured in the TV adaptation of Middlemarch. Make sure you pay a visit to nearby Burghley House, one of our grandest Elizabethan houses.
